Maintenance Technician

Job Overview Gielow Pickles, Inc. is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment within our production facility. This role is critical to ensuring efficient production, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced food manufacturing setting. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on production and facility equipment Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Conduct preventative maintenance according to established schedules Diagnose equipment issues and implement timely, effective solutions Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation Assist in installation and setup of new equipment Ensure compliance with safety standards, GMPs, and company policies Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve efficiency Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or food production environment preferred Strong knowledge of mechanical systems; electrical experience is a plus Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints Basic computer skills; experience with ERP or maintenance tracking systems is beneficial Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Work Environment & Physical Requirements Work performed in a production environment with exposure to varying temperatures, moisture, and noise Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly May require working at heights or in confined spaces Must be able to work overtime as needed Schedule & Compensation Full-time position with a standard 50-hour work week Overtime may be required based on production needs Pay range is based on experience and reflects a 50-hour work week Why Join Gielow Pickles, Inc.?
