Job Description

CNC Machine Maintenance Technician Location:
Fraser, Michigan Position Type:
Direct HireFirst shift: 7:30am-5pm or 8am-5:30pm$38-45/hr. Position Summary The Maintenance Technician provides diagnostic and repair services for manufacturing equipment including CNC machines, boring mills, delivery process equipment, and shop machinery. This role supports production by ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently with minimal downtime. Key Responsibilities Repair production equipment ranging from hydraulic systems to complex CNC machinery performing both electrical and mechanical repairs Inspect equipment and components to ensure proper maintenance and warranty compliance Perform preventive maintenance on electronic, mechanical, and production systems Identify faulty equipment and secure parts and tools needed to complete repairs Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machine tool equipment and controls Utilize diagnostic equipment including multimeters and infrared scanning tools Work with contractors and maintenance team members to minimize operational disruption Communicate repair status, parts ordered, and estimated completion timelines Order replacement components as needed Track and log repair work and completed work orders Maintain clean and organized work areas Follow Lockout Tagout procedures and PPE requirements Qualifications Mid to high level break fix and preventive maintenance experience required Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics, part manuals, assembly instructions, and technical documents Strong troubleshooting ability with urgency during machine down situations Industrial mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical aptitude Knowledge of CNC machine design and operation Experience using electrical test equipment and working with electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems Ability to work independently Basic reading, writing, and math skills Ability to multitask effectively Willingness to work overtime including weekends as needed
