About Richter Company Founded in 2004 in Grandville, Michigan, Richter Company started as a real estate brokerage and has grown into a full-service company offering property management, real estate, maintenance, and cleaning services. We take care of single-family and multi-family residences, commercial buildings, and condominium associations across West Michigan. We're looking for a skilled, self-motivated Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance division — someone who takes pride in solving problems the right way the first time.

Act with Integrity Serve the Customer Follow Through Get Better Every Day Cherish Feedback What You'll Do Perform routine and emergency maintenance on machinery, facilities, and residences Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues and implement effective solutions Conduct property inspections to identify and proactively resolve issues Maintain records of maintenance and repair work, including procedures and spare parts inventory, in our property management software Work with the property manager and scheduling team on team schedules and monthly planning Assist in the installation and setup of new materials, equipment, and systems Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs as needed Collaborate with teammates to hit profitability and billable-hours goals Comply with all safety regulations and company policies Maintain a clean, organized work environment Meet weekly as a team of technicians to tackle tasks, opportunities, and growth together Once you're fully onboarded within 3 months, you'll be the on-call tech one week out of every five, carrying the emergency phone after hours for urgent issues like water leaks, no heat, and lockouts. On-call visits pay $35/hour for time worked, and the schedule is set well in advance so you can plan around it. Room to Grow This role is built to evolve with you. Depending on your skill set, there are opportunities to take on additional responsibilities such as managing and organizing new projects, or handling engine and mechanical repair of vehicles, parts, and tools. You'll work directly with our Maintenance Manager to shape both your position and the future of this division.
What We're Looking For Required:
2+ years of hands-on maintenance, facilities, construction, or skilled trades experience Working knowledge of basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a crew Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Comfortable documenting work digitally (property management software, tablet/smartphone) Valid driver's license and a clean driving record Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions Willingness to participate in a rotating on-call schedule Nice to
Have:
