Job Description

Job Title:
Maintenance Technician Job Description This position involves custom electronic installation on customer trucks, ensuring that all electronic accessories and circuits are installed correctly and efficiently. The role requires a thorough understanding of truck build-up processes and electrical systems. Responsibilities Install electric circuits (wiring) for various electrical accessories including lighting, automatic salting controls, sensors, and switches. Utilize prints and diagrams for electrical systems in truck build-up processes. Communicate daily with the manager to assess assigned jobs and identify necessary parts and materials. Work cooperatively and proactively with customers to ensure satisfaction. Develop continual process improvements in collaboration with the manager and co-workers. Deliver and pick up parts as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Essential Skills General comprehension of and experience in the truck build-up process. Understanding of truck components and electrical circuits. Ability to determine wire size required in various circuits. Strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Complete set of hand tools required. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, diagrams, schematics, and prints. Effective communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to work collaboratively with managers and customers. Positive attitude and willingness to work with others. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Forklift operator certification. Overhead crane operator certification. Knowledge of computers and various software programs is desirable. Knowledge of on-board truck computer controls including electrical multiplexing and CAN Bus systems. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Howell, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
