Job Description

The Maintenance Tech's primary responsibility is to ensure that equipment is safely operating and meets its intended use optimizing equipment up-time. The purpose of the Maintenance employee is to make scheduled and unscheduled repairs on all machines and related equipment used in manufacturing. The Maintenance employee reports administratively to the Maintenance Manager. Education

  • Ability to set-up plastic molding machinery
  • Knowledge of the principles of hydraulics, electricity and pneumatics
  • Ability to trouble-shoot and repair circuits using schematics, blueprints and sketches
  • Ability to properly use equipment and tools to check and repair machinery
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic assembly equipment and robots
  • Ability to troubleshoot, modify, maintain, and program PLC logic to support production equipment and automation systems.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Analyzes electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and operational problems of plastic injection molding machines
  • Repairs, troubleshoots, and maintains highly complex injection molding production equipment as necessary to ensure continuous production flow.
  • Plan for and take corrective action as needed
  • Maintain maximum production and quality by making correct adjustments
  • Review production schedule and make equipment changes as needed
  • Troubleshoot and test equipment to check operations
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on assigned plastic injection molding machines
  • Make preventative maintenance checks and inspection of assigned equipment
  • Repair and diagnose problems with support equipment such as cranes, chillers, air compressors, cooling towers
  • Work safely and promote safety throughout the company. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment. Immediately stop production for safety or quality issues.
  • Maintain the housekeeping standards. Ensure facility is tour ready by auditing 6S standards and driving 6s tools and methodologies
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
