Are you someone who can fix just about anything—or at least isn't afraid to figure it out? Do you take pride in doing a job right the first time and enjoy seeing the results of your hard work? We're looking for another maintenance technician to join our team! We manage residential rental properties throughout the Kalamazoo area, and we're looking for someone dependable, hardworking, and personable to help keep our properties in great condition for our residents and owners. What You'll Do Your days will vary, which is one of the best parts of this job! You may find yourself tackling anything from routine repairs to preparing a home for a new resident.
Responsibilities may include:
Completing maintenance and repair work in single family rental homes and some multi unit apartment buildings Troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, drywall, doors, appliances, flooring, and other common household issues Completing work orders and responding to maintenance requests Performing preventative maintenance and property inspections Assisting with larger maintenance and improvement projects Communicating professionally with residents, property managers, and coworkers Keeping work areas clean and leaving each property better than you found it Knowing when a job is something you can handle and when it's time to call in a specialist What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who: Has residential maintenance, construction, handyman, or similar experience Has strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Is dependable and able to work independently Takes pride in their work and pays attention to the details Is comfortable working in occupied rental properties and interacting with residents Has a positive attitude and works well with a team Can prioritize multiple work orders and manage their time effectively Has a valid driver's license and reliable transportation Is willing to learn and tackle new challenges We care more about your ability to solve problems and your willingness to learn than having a perfect résumé.
