Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in a full-time or part-time capacity. This vital role involves maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of facilities and equipment to ensure smooth operations across our organization. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mechanical aptitude, electrical experience, and excellent problem-solving skills to keep our facilities safe, efficient, and well-maintained. Whether working independently or supervising a team, you will play a key role in supporting our operational excellence and creating a safe environment for all staff and visitors. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical equipment, and facilities infrastructure. Troubleshoot issues using schematics, electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters, and mechanical knowledge to identify root causes quickly. Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and other general maintenance tasks to uphold building interior standards. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Repair and replace electrical wiring, switches, outlets, plumbing systems, HVAC components, and other mechanical equipment as needed. Supervise or assist with maintenance projects ensuring safety protocols are followed and work is completed efficiently. Support customer service efforts by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or tenants. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments with hands-on work in electrical work, plumbing system repair, HVAC system repair, and building interior maintenance. Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and troubleshooting electrical equipment using tools like ohmmeters. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CMMS software, and maintenance operations (MRO). Skilled in welding, carpentry (including residential painting), plumbing repairs, and general mechanical tasks. Supervisory experience or leadership skills are preferred for overseeing maintenance teams or projects. Strong communication skills in English to effectively document work orders and collaborate with team members.
