Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for maintaining all buildings and grounds at SMH. A Maintenance Tech will conduct preventive and predictive maintenance, complete required documentation, and keep equipment functional and safe. Duties also include snow removal, landscaping, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, basic carpentry, and painting. Other expectations include following all SMH policies, behavioral standards, and supporting the goals of the organization.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs job duties at all SMH owned and leased buildings. Shovels snow, plows snow, mows lawns, trims, rakes, and landscaping. Repairs appropriate electrical power distribution systems. Interior/exterior decorating - including, but not limited to, painting, flooring, etc. Preventative maintenance. Test therapy pool PH and Chlorine daily and document readings on Health Department report. Report any problems with the therapy pool to the Pool Operator, Environmental Services Manager, or Rehabilitation Manager. Works on low pressure boilers. Repairs equipment, furniture, appliances, plumbing, drainage, and sewage disposal systems. Inspects and repairs fire control equipment. Keeps written records of work performed (see departmental list for items requiring documentation). Provides local and long-distance courier service. Delivers recyclables to off-site drop off area(s). Demonstrates appropriateness in meeting objectives in age-specifics. Performs other duties as assigned. High school graduate or equivalent. Ability to follow written and oral directions. One year of maintenance experience in a hospital or institution preferred. Knowledge of building electrical and mechanical systems. Experience in operating heavy equipment preferred. Basic carpentry skills. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Must be able to take call Valid driver's license. Heart saver CPR Certified (obtain upon employment)Similar jobs in Manistique, MI
