Maintenance Technician:
This position serves as the shift subject matter expert for critical HVAC and mechanical building systems, ensuring maximum reliability, uptime, and performance in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will possess advanced troubleshooting skills, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to respond quickly to system issues affecting facility operations Position Responsibilities of the
Maintenance Technician:
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial HVAC and mechanical systems.
Troubleshoot and repair:
Air Handling Units (AHUs) Make-Up Air Units (MAUs) Exhaust ventilation systems Chilled water and hot water systems Pumps, motors, VFDs, valves, and associated mechanical equipment Monitor and respond to Building Automation System (BAS/BMS) alarms to maintain continuous facility operation. Diagnose HVAC, refrigeration, airflow, and mechanical system failures using sound troubleshooting techniques. Partner with Electrical, Controls, and Maintenance Technicians to resolve complex equipment issues. Perform equipment inspections and execute preventive maintenance activities in accordance with established schedules. Accurately document work performed within the CMMS. Support commissioning, startup activities, and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and all site safety requirements. Provide technical guidance and support to other maintenance team members when needed. Position Requirements of the
Maintenance Technician:
Minimum 5 years of industrial or large commercial HVAC maintenance experience. Strong troubleshooting and repair skills on complex HVAC and mechanical systems. EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification. Experience working with Building Automation Systems (Siemens, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Trane, or similar). Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals. Strong understanding of pumps, motors, bearings, belts, controls, and mechanical equipment. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment. Valid driver's license. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely perform physical maintenance activities. Industrial manufacturing experience. State HVAC Mechanical License or Journeyman certification. Experience with predictive maintenance technologies. OSHA 30 Certification. Familiarity with battery manufacturing, automotive, or other advanced manufacturing facilities.
