Job Description

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN FLSA
Status Hourly Non-Exempt Employee Type Regular / Full-Time Location New Haven, MI Reports To Maintenance Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
Service and repair automatic, semi-automatic, and manual assembly machines including preventative maintenance. Daily focus on production changeovers and injection molding machine support (dryers, part removal, etc.).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and tooling changeovers Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and leak tester problems Perform routine facility maintenance (plumbing, lighting, minor repairs) Close out work orders within the same shift and submit daily shift reports Follow all plant safety rules and aid contractors during inspections Assist with inventory, tooling reviews, and other tasks assigned by Maintenance Supervisor
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to read electrical and pneumatic diagrams Experienced in light tool repairs: drills, taps, and fabrication techniques Able to troubleshoot mechanical and pneumatic systems Welding and injection molding experience a plus (not required to start) Experience with 24V systems preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) Excellent written and verbal communication skills
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent required Post-high school technical training preferred Associate's Degree in Electronics Technology or Industrial Automation preferred
LICENSING & CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
MiOSHA Industrial Powered Truck License MiOSHA Overhead Crane License
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Lift and carry up to 40 lbs | Push/pull up to 200 lbs Standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing stairs Manual dexterity involving wrists, hands, and fingers Depth perception and ability to distinguish basic colors Operate truck or motor vehicle without restrictions
WORKING CONDITIONS & PPE
Indoor automotive manufacturing environment — heat, cold, fumes, chemicals possible Constant noise above 85 dB with vibration | Machinery with moving parts Eye protection and steel-toe boots required daily Hearing protection required on shop floor Hard hat, gloves, and face shields required occasionally Must supply own basic tools

Experience:
industrial or manufacturing: 2 years (Preferred) injection molding equipment: 2 years (Preferred)
