Job Description
GLASWA is accepting applications for a full-time Maintenance Technician position. Applications will be accepted until position is filled. Under the supervision of the Director, the Maintenance Technician's position is responsible for preventative maintenance and/or repairs as well as installation of plant equipment necessary for the efficient operation of the wastewater treatment facility, the water facilities, lift stations, and grinder pumps. Performs preventative maintenance of the sanitary sewer collection and water distribution systems including the inspections, cleaning, televising and structural repairs of laterals and manholes. Responds to emergency situations that may occur at the plant or collection system. Provides assistance with any tasks related to the collection and distribution systems. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED. A Commercial Driver's License valid in the State of Michigan with a "B" endorsement w/ air brakes, and electrical certification is preferred. The successful applicant shall have primary residency within thirty (30) Minutes radius of GLASWA Treatment Facility.
