6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. ( includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
Employment:
52 weeks per year Work schedule is subject to change following the training period. Job Summary The Maintenance Technician performs routine preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and general maintenance duties on district facilities and equipment. This position helps ensure district assets remain safe , functional, and well - maintained while accurately documenting completed work. Primary Responsibilities Perform routine preventive maintenance on district equipment and facilities as assigned. Complete minor repairs related to preventive maintenance and general building upkeep. Respond to and complete assigned maintenance work orders in a timely manner. Assist with snow and ice removal, including plowing, shoveling, and applying salt to ensure safe access to district property. Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance activities, repairs, and completed work. Follow district safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Skills and Abilities Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) , including SchoolDude and Asset Essentials. Proficiency with Google Workspace applications, including Google Docs, Google Sheets , and Gmail. Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and communicate effectively with staff and supervisors. Basic troubleshooting and problem - solving skills related to building maintenance and equipment. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of two ( 2) years of maintenance experience, preferably in a school district or similar institutional setting. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record (if required by the position). Ability to safely lift, carry, and move materials and equipment as required by the job.
