Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the hotel is maintained in excellent condition, delivering a safe, comfortable, and visually appealing environment for both guests and team members. This role plays a critical part in the overall guest experience by proactively maintaining guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas, while responding quickly and effectively to maintenance requests.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, furniture, and finishes Maintain all public areas, including the lobby, restaurant, rooftop spaces, fitness center, and exterior grounds, ensuring they meet brand and cleanliness standards Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests with a high level of professionalism and urgency Conduct preventative maintenance programs to extend the life of equipment and reduce unexpected breakdowns Troubleshoot and repair building systems including heating, cooling, electrical, and plumbing systems Assist with ongoing property improvement projects, renovations, and seasonal preparations Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards, local codes, and company policies Maintain organized records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment inspections Monitor the condition of the property and proactively identify areas needing attention or repair Work collaboratively with housekeeping and front desk teams to prioritize room readiness and minimize out-of-order roomsQualifications:
Previous maintenance experience in a hotel, commercial property, or similar environment preferred Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and customer service skills Basic computer skills for work order systems and communication Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and supplies as neededWhat We're Looking For:
