Maintenance Technician (with Pool Experience)

Take Pride in Your Work. Help Keep Our Hotel Running at Its Best. We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Technician with pool experience to join our team at LaQuinta Inn in Utica. This is a full-time, year-round position at a busy hotel where your work directly impacts guest experience and property quality. What You'll Do Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the property Handle basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks (including PTAC units) Maintain and monitor the hotel pool and related systems (cleaning, chemical checks, compliance) Complete painting, minor carpentry, and room repairs Maintain grounds and exterior cleanliness Respond promptly to maintenance requests Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and systems Assist with preventative maintenance to reduce downtime Ensure safety and cleanliness standards are consistently met What Success Looks Like Clean, well-maintained rooms and public areas Fully operational pool and equipment Quick, efficient response to maintenance issues Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship What We're Looking For Previous maintenance experience (hotel experience preferred) Pool maintenance experience required (CPO preferred, or willingness to obtain) Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems Comfortable using tools and handling a wide range of repairs Self-motivated and able to work independently Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Good physical condition (walking property, lifting, outdoor work) Weekend availability required Compensation & Benefits $18 - $25/hour (based on experience) Full-time, stable position (not seasonal) Paid Time Off (PTO) Health insurance Hotel employee discounts Opportunity for wage growth based on performance Why Join Us Supportive, hands-on management team Consistent, year-round work Opportunity to grow skills across multiple trades Be part of a team that takes pride in maintaining a quality property
