We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Technician to help keep our facility and equipment running safely, efficiently, and reliably. This is a key role on our team, responsible for minimizing downtime, supporting production, and helping us maintain a high-performing operation in a growing agricultural processing business. Position summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and completing repairs on manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This person plays an important role in keeping production running smoothly while supporting safety, reliability, and continuous improvement throughout the plant. What you'll do Perform routine maintenance and preventive maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems. Troubleshoot mechanical issues, identify root causes, and complete timely repairs to minimize downtime. Inspect equipment and machinery to identify wear, damage, or repair needs before breakdowns occur. Assist with installation, setup, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and related systems. Safely operate and use hand tools, power tools, grinders, welding equipment, forklifts, and other maintenance tools as needed. Maintain maintenance logs and document completed work, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities. Help manage spare parts, maintenance materials, and tools needed to support ongoing operations. Work with outside contractors and service providers when specialized support is needed. Ensure machine safety features are functioning properly and equipment is safe to operate. Read and interpret manuals, technical documents, blueprints, and written instructions. Respond quickly to maintenance requests from production to support efficient plant operations. Communicate equipment concerns and recurring issues to the Production Manager. Follow all company safety policies and contribute to a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Support other departments, including production, as business needs dictate. What we're looking for 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment required. High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications are a plus. Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting ability. Experience repairing and maintaining manufacturing equipment. Ability to read and follow technical instructions, manuals, and blueprints. Experience with low voltage, high voltage and 3-phas power preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to doing the job right. Dependable, punctual, and well organized. Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills and willingness to work across departments to solve problems.
