Facilities Maintenance Technician

Lakeside on Sylvia is an entity that supports business operations for three family-owned Minnesota business ventures. We're a small team of professionals committed to hospitality, creative problem solving, and stewarding our business opportunities with excellence. We're looking to add a like-minded individual to our team - the right candidate has property management and/or handyman experience, has a strong work ethic, and enjoys a lot of variety from day to day. This position is full-time and reports to the Property Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform tasks such as drywall repair, painting, carpentry work, electrical and plumbing maintenance Assist in regular maintenance of building HVAC units and related systems Assist with tenant move-in, move-out, and remodeling projects for new tenant spaces when applicable Perform groundskeeping tasks, including mowing, edging, applying herbicides, trimming bushes, weed control, and mulching landscaping beds Perform daily cleaning of all common spaces, including restrooms, kitchens, stairways, trash cans, parking lots Be available for all weather events when snow or ice is expected, including shoveling, salting, and snow blowing Maintain and repair a fleet of machinery to aid in all grounds maintenance tasks Assist in special projects assigned by owner and Property Manager Aid in short term rental of cabin properties to include cleaning, repairs and boat maintenance

Requirements:

High school diploma required, additional education preferred 3+ years of relevant property management and/or handyman experience Ability to operate heavy machinery, including skid loaders, plow trucks, and tractors Ability to lift 100 pounds and to sit, stand, reach, and kneel for long periods of time Available to work a variable schedule, including nights and weekends, in case of weather events Work primarily performed on site in Lakeville, MN but travel will be periodically required to other worksites as far as 80 miles from Lakeville office Valid driver's license

Pay & Benefits:

Compensation is $18-30/hr, commensurate with experience. This is a full-time, 40 hours/week position paid hourly.
