The Golf General Maintenance position is essential for ensuring the golf course and its facilities are maintained to the highest standards, providing an exceptional experience for all players and visitors. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks that keep the grounds safe, attractive, and functional, including landscaping, equipment upkeep, and facility repairs. The successful candidate will work closely with the groundskeeping team to support daily operations and seasonal projects, contributing to the overall aesthetic and operational excellence of the golf course. Attention to detail and a proactive approach are critical to identifying and addressing maintenance needs promptly, minimizing disruptions to play. Career Pathing:

The role may advance into a supervisor level position should the incumbent demonstrate sufficient strategic development and enlargement of performance scope. Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, watering, and fertilizing turf areas to ensure healthy and visually appealing grounds. Inspect and maintain golf course equipment, including mowers, carts, and irrigation systems, ensuring they are in safe and efficient working condition. Conduct minor repairs on course facilities, including benches, signage, pathways, and fencing, to maintain a safe and welcoming environment. Assist with seasonal projects such as aeration, overseeding, and landscaping enhancements to improve course quality and playability. Collaborate with the groundskeeping team to monitor course conditions and report any issues or hazards that require attention. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations while handling chemicals, fertilizers, and equipment. Support event setup and teardown as needed, ensuring the course and facilities are prepared for tournaments and special occasions.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or a related field preferred. Ability to operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment safely and effectively. Basic knowledge of turf management and irrigation systems. Physical ability to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions. #GVL
