Responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures. The goal of a maintenance technician is to keep equipment, facilities, and common areas in the best possible condition to improve production efficiency and machine utilization. Role and Responsibilities Review Plant Intelligence Center monitors to prioritize machine maintenance and repairs Repair, maintain, and rebuild machinery, mechanical equipment, and secondary equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, robotics, automation, and control systems such as programmable logic controllers. Troubleshoot all plant equipment and prescribe required maintenance to assure satisfactory operation with minimum downtime. Work with drawings, prints, diagrams, and manufacturers' printed instructions as needed. Perform routine preventative maintenance inspections as required. Adjust, repair, or replace defective parts or materials. Fabricate new equipment or supplemental pieces when needed by using tooling machines. Install or oversee installation of new equipment and electrical service Perform machine calibrations using prescribed equipment. Add options to production equipment to enhance capability. Perform facility maintenance as required to ensure that all building systems are maintained. Document all related work activity Report immediately to the supervisor those problems and unusual situations that cannot be resolved quickly. Communicate with the maintenance manager on planned/completed tasks Safely use forklifts and other equipment needed for the job task. Observe all safety requirements, including Lock Out Tag Out, and maintain the work area in a neat and orderly condition.
Pay Range:
