Job Title:
Maintenance Technician Job Description The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in adding value to the company by functioning within a multi-skill work environment and performing a variety of maintenance-related functions. This position primarily supports all production operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of equipment and facilities. Responsibilities Perform arc and gas welding, cutting, brazing, silver and soft soldering. Interpret blueprints and schematics for machines and buildings. Troubleshoot electrical A/C and D/C circuits using electrical metering equipment. Diagnose issues in hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Utilize basic shop tools such as lathes, mills, drill presses, saws, and grinders. Install and relocate equipment as needed. Run conduit for electrical services and work at heights safely. Maintain preventative maintenance programs in assigned areas. Plan, implement, and finalize assigned projects with minimal supervision. Provide positive feedback for corrective action plans to enhance equipment reliability. Collaborate effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere. Repair production equipment to minimize production interruptions. Perform maintenance on buildings and grounds as needed. Inspect, dismantle, service, reassemble, test, and adjust equipment for safe operation. Maintain a clean and orderly work area, ensuring proper care of tools and equipment. Comply with all DOT, HAZMAT, and environmental policies and procedures. Adhere to Health and Safety policies and designated Personal Protective Equipment policies. Engage in housekeeping, 6S, and other duties as assigned. Successfully complete annual RCRA Hazardous Waste and DOT Hazardous Material Training. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of two years of trade school or qualified work experience. Ability to interpret schematics and understand pumps, valves, refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, and ventilation equipment. Knowledge of industrial electric symbols, line diagrams, AC/DC motors, motor starters, and motor controllers. Experience in Industrial Electric (NEC) and electronic systems. Completion of Arc Flash Training and annual LOTO training for authorized employees. Proficiency in using and understanding electrical test equipment. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere with a customer-first attitude. Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to prioritize work to minimize equipment downtime. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Self-motivated and detail-oriented with excellent work habits. Ability to work productively at heights for extended periods. Knowledge of OSHA standards and commitment to safety procedures. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Harrisonville, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $64396.00 - $64396.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
