Job Description

Floor Technician Shift:
Full-Time Floor Technician Job Summary:
The floor technician performs daily floor care and cleaning activities under the direction and supervision of the Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor to ensure the facility is maintained in a safe, clean, and comfortable environment. Floor Technician Duties include, but are not limited to: Perform daily floor cleaning functions and assigned tasks in accordance with established floor tech procedures and daily work assignments. Clean the front porch and surrounding areas by picking up trash, cigarette butts, emptying trash cans, and disposing of waste in the proper receptacles. Dust mop, wet mop, and buff assigned floors. Clean walls, rails, doors, behind doors, and baseboards. Follow established facility safety and infection control practices when performing tasks and using equipment and supplies. Maintain work areas in a clean and safe condition. Report hazardous conditions and equipment issues to the Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor. Report maintenance concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor according to facility protocols. Report all accidents and incidents to your supervisor immediately. These must be reported during the shift in which they occur. In the absence of a supervisor, notify the charge nurse. Maintain confidentiality of all resident information. Respect resident personal and property rights at all times. Turn in all found items to your supervisor. Attend departmental meetings, staff meetings, in-service education, orientation sessions, and on-the-job training as scheduled. All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
