To support manufacturing operations by maintaining, trouble shooting and repairing all facilities and manufacturing equipment in a safe and orderly fashion as directed by the maintenance area/shift leader.Job Responsibilities:
(This job description in no way implies that these are the only duties to be performed in this position. Employees will be required to follow any other job-related instructions or to perform other job duties requested by their manager.) 1. Troubleshoot and repair problems on plant facilities and production equipment of advanced nature in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic. 2. Assists in the implementations and improvement of effective preventive maintenance programs for all equipment, performing scheduled maintenance on facilities and production equipment as required. 3. Maintain and update equipment records, schematics, blueprints, and files in orderly fashion. 4. Obtain and attend training for professional development and to stay current on maintenance and safety requirements and other training as required. 5. Complete all work in accordance with OSHA, NEC, JIC and DNR standards and regulations. 6. Complete correspondence, forms and reports using personal computer and required software. 7. Maintain department repair parts stock and inventory. 8. Perform inspections and or verify that inspected work and maintained records conform to all applicable standards, codes, and customer requirements. 9. Handle confidential information on a regular basis. 10. To work in a safe, quality minded and productive manner with a sense of urgency to achieve maintenance deadlines and to attain production priorities as scheduled. 11. Perform inspections and or verify that inspected work and maintained records conform to all applicable standards, codes, and customer requirements. 12. Enter inspection results into the computer based on inspection documents and produce detailed reports. 13. Ensure operations are performed as specified and in accordance with applicable procedures and specifications. 14. Attend daily pre-shift meetings and carry out assigned workloads as directed by shift/area leaders. 15. Communicates with maintenance manager and maintenance area/shift leaders and other plant personnel about maintenance and quality concerns, providing complete action plans and status reports as and when required. 16. Make appropriate decisions on discrepant welds and elevate the decision following company's escalation plans when necessary. 17. Perform robot programming and weld touch ups as needed on a daily basis. 18. Conduct shifts carry over with other employees and communicate weld issues. 19. Work with production and other departments on basic troubleshooting and corrections for everyday issues. 20. Follows and supports LMV Automotive System's and Magna's operating principles, including: a. Magna Employee Charter - Operating under its principles by treating all employees equally, fairly and with dignity and respect. b. Open Door Policy - Solves issues with two-way, open, and friendly communication at the lowest level. c. 5S - Maintains and promotes good housekeeping by following the philosophy "Everything has a place. Everything in its place. d. Safety First - Obey the plant's safety rules and procedures by wearing PPE at all times and immediately addressing all safety concerns. Promotes an environment where zero injuries are the expected standard. e. Company quality and environmental policies. 21. Supports efforts to achieve department and plant goals on Employee Opinion Survey. 22. Works with vendors and/or contractors, displaying company values of honesty and integrity. 23. Works with all shifts in design and development of improving methods and equipment through continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles. 24. May be required to adjust shifts as necessary. 25. Perform other duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibilities:

(These qualifications represent the minimum requirements of the position. Employees will be required to possess the ability and aptitudes to perform the duties proficiently.) Education and/orExperience:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Once job is accepted, schooling is required per MAINT00311- Skill Trades Progression.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts as appropriate.
- Able to demonstrate understanding of how job performance affects product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Able to work well with power cutting tools, torches, air chisels.
- Ability to demonstrate the knowledge of sensors and applications. Able to adjust, replace sensors, cables, lights, and hardware in general.
- Able to purge and grease robots.
- Ability to replace, troubleshoot sealer units.
- Perform routine tasks in RSW, GMAW, DAR and projection welding processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems on RSW equipment's, boards, and alarms.
- Able to connect with weld controllers for analyzes, improvements, or troubleshooting reasons.
- Ability to swap welding power supplies
- Understand Ethernet and DeviceNet networking protocols. Drop lines, trunks and or other DeviceNet configurations
- Understand and troubleshooting Ethernet and DeviceNet I/O blocks.
- Understand Cosma Robot/PLC standards.
- Perform robot programming and weld touch ups as needed on a daily basis.
- Able to work with others; build and maintain positive employee relations.
- Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees, suppliers, and customers.
- Able to effectively troubleshoot, replace Leoni or other cable carriers on robots.
- Ability to demonstrate the knowledge of basic programming/teaching robots.
- Ability to demonstrate basic programming/troubleshooting knowledge of PLCs.
- Computer proficiency, Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
- Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, blueprints, diagrams, schematics, equipment instructions, requirements, and business correspondences.
- Must have good organizational skills.
- Must exhibit high integrity and honesty.
- Ability to effectively and appropriately present information and respond to questions from various groups.
- Ability to define problems, assist on collecting data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Able to maintain confidentiality, and use discretion and tact.
- Able to manage and s chedule multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimum direct supervision.
- Able to work flexible hours and overtime.
- Able to effectively use computer and software as required.
- Able to calculate figures and amounts, such as percentages and proportions.
- Fabrication, mechanical and electrical skills (National Electrical Code).
- Ability to obtain and hold a fork truck license.
- Ability to obtain and hold a boom/scissor lift license Physical Demands
- Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting equipment (up to 40 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing, or walking.
- Must be able to safely use manual tools and power equipment common in the construction trades.
- Must be able to handle hazardous materials safely and tolerate exposure to electrical and other environmental hazards.
