Description :
The Maintenance Technician will perform preventative maintenance and repairs as scheduled or required in order to attain maximum productivity and functionality in plant operations. The employee in this role must have strong communication, observational, and operational skills with an unbending focus on safety. A very important part is to repair of production equipment from complex hydraulic equipment to simple fabrication machinery, performing electrical, pneumatically, and mechanical work.
Primary Responsibilities:
Must have experience with presses, conveyors, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics and fabrication. Must have experience diagnosing mechanical and electronic systems using various tools and computers. Must have experience troubleshooting, repairing and working with electrical PLC's, A/C up to 480 volts, motors, drive controls and systems. Assist fellow mechanics and technicians as required to perform Preventative Maintenance and work overloads to assure equipment maintenance requirements are performed on a timely basis. Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators in order to diagnose equipment problems. Knowledge with HVAC and crane/ hoist repair a plus. Repairing critical equipment, performing preventive and predictive maintenance, and completing projects such as mechanical and electrical hardware and software upgrades.

Must have strong interpersonal skills. Will be a good listener with outstanding interpersonal qualities and a natural, effective, and consultative style. An outstanding communicator that possesses superior written/oral communication skills, as well as the ability to present his/her views in a clear and compelling manner. Constant reminder of safety in all aspects of operations. Experience with electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints and electronic components of industrial machinery. Demonstrate ability to work without direct supervision.
