Job Description

General Maintenance Technician Nevills Home Solutions is seeking a motivated and dependable General Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. We are looking for someone who can think independently, solve problems in the field, and take pride in quality workmanship. This position is ideal for someone with strong drywall and painting experience who is comfortable handling a variety of residential maintenance and repair tasks. Most of our work consists of apartment turnovers, drywall repairs, painting, carpentry, and general maintenance throughout Rolla, St. James, and surrounding areas. Responsibilities Perform drywall repairs ranging from small patches to larger wall and ceiling repairs Tape, mud, sand, texture, and finish drywall to a paint-ready condition Paint walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and touch-up areas as needed Complete apartment turnover work efficiently while maintaining quality standards Troubleshoot and repair general maintenance issues in residential properties Repair or replace doors, trim, baseboards, blinds, fixtures, hardware, and other building components Perform minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs when needed Identify problems in the field and develop practical solutions independently Maintain a clean and organized work area Communicate effectively with management regarding project progress and material needs Follow all safety procedures and company standards Qualifications Experience with drywall repair and finishing is required Experience painting residential interiors is required General maintenance or handyman experience preferred Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work Dependable, professional, and punctual Experience with apartment turnovers is a plus What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who doesn't need constant supervision and can walk into a unit, identify what needs to be done, and get it done correctly. We value common sense, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic over fancy resumes.
