Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of manufacturing facilities and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, with experience in facilities maintenance, manufacturing environments, and residential painting. Leadership and supervisory experience are a plus, as this position may involve overseeing maintenance activities and guiding junior team members. The Maintenance Technician will play a critical role in maintaining safety standards, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Duties Perform routine and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems to ensure smooth operations. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues using schematics, Ohmmeters, and CMMS software. Repair or replace faulty components, including welding repairs when necessary. Maintain electrical systems utilizing knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and electrical schematics. Conduct residential painting tasks as needed for facility upkeep or improvement projects. Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Document maintenance activities accurately within CMMS systems for tracking and reporting purposes. Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during major repairs or upgrades. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all staff. Requirements Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or industrial settings. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools such as Ohmmeters. Electrical experience, including working with PLCs and troubleshooting electrical systems. Welding skills are desirable for repair tasks involving metal fabrication. Experience in residential painting is a plus for facility aesthetic improvements. Supervising or leadership experience in a maintenance environment is preferred. Excellent communication skills in English to effectively document work orders and collaborate with team members. Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance management is advantageous. Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet operational goals. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues quickly and accurately.
