Job Description
Overview We are looking for a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our Springfield team on 1st shift. In this role, you'll help keep our service center running safely, efficiently, and at peak performance by supporting facility upkeep, equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, and general maintenance needs throughout the building. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working with tools, solving problems, and taking pride in keeping a facility clean, safe, and well-maintained. What You'll Do Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance on production and support equipment. Support general facility maintenance, including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, doors, windows, walls, ceilings, and other building systems. Respond to on-call maintenance needs and help minimize downtime. Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to complete repairs and maintenance tasks. Assist with CMMS work orders, spare parts inventory, and maintenance documentation. Support sanitation, recyclable materials, and waste management programs. Perform basic fabrication and welding tasks as needed. Safely complete maintenance work at various heights, including the use of lifts when required. Partner with operations and maintenance team members to support a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. Assist Maintenance Mechanics during emergency repairs or higher-level maintenance needs. What We're Looking For Previous facility maintenance, general maintenance, or industrial maintenance experience preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on repair experience. Experience with basic HVAC, plumbing, lighting, electrical, and building maintenance tasks. Ability to use hand tools and power tools, including drills, saws, wrenches, hammers, and related equipment. Ability to troubleshoot issues and complete repairs safely and efficiently. Welding or fabrication experience preferred. CMMS experience is a plus. Forklift, scissor lift, or aerial lift experience is a plus. Strong organization, follow-up, and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay and Schedule Pay:
$25.00 per hour
