Job Title:
Maintenance Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to support both manufacturing equipment and facility maintenance. This role is perfect for someone with approximately one year of maintenance experience who is eager to grow their skills in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have some experience with industrial or manufacturing maintenance, including working on equipment such as compressors, machinery, or other production-related systems. Forklift maintenance experience is a plus, but candidates with a broad industrial maintenance back ground are encouraged to apply. This position offers exposure to both industrial equipment maintenance and general facility maintenance, making it an excellent opportunity for an entry-level technician looking to develop into a well-rounded maintenance professional. Responsibilities Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment. Troubleshoot and repair production machinery and mechanical systems. Perform maintenance and basic repairs on compressors and related equipment. Assist with general facility maintenance throughout the building. Perform basic plumbing repairs and maintenance. Complete minor drywall and building repairs. Replace light bulbs, air filters, and other facility components. Inspect equipment and identify potential maintenance issues. Respond to equipment breakdowns and help minimize production downtime. Use ladders, lifts, and other equipment to safely access elevated areas. Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance guidelines. Assist with additional maintenance projects as needed. Essential Skills Approximately 1 year of maintenance experience. Previous manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, or facility maintenance experience preferred. Experience troubleshooting and repairing machinery or industrial equipment. Experience working with compressors is preferred. Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills are a plus. Comfortable performing basic facility maintenance, including light plumbing and drywall repairs. Ability to safely use ladders and elevated work platforms/lifts. Comfortable working at heights. Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Reliable, safety-minded, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Additional Skills & Qualifications Forklift maintenance experience is a plus. PLC troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and preventive maintenance. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belton, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
