Job Title:
Maintenance Technician Job Description The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring continuous production by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This position demands a strong mechanical experience, electrical knowledge, and the ability to efficiently diagnose and resolve equipment issues, thereby minimizing downtime and ensuring a safe, productive work environment. Responsibilities Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on production equipment. Perform maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment including overhead cranes, roll formers, press brakes, and resistance welders. Assist with servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing more complex machinery and systems. Conduct preventative maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and optimal performance. Perform general facility maintenance and building repairs as needed. Maintain and service yard and shop equipment including forklifts, yard trucks, trailers, and company vehicles. Comply with all applicable safety regulations and actively support the department's safety programs and protocols. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times. Accurately document maintenance activities and communicate equipment issues to leadership as required. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance; ability to work flexible schedules including overtime and weekends as required. Essential Skills Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills. Experience in preventative maintenance. Basic electrical knowledge and experience. Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred. Familiarity with metal fabrication equipment, such as press brakes, roll formers, overhead cranes, or welders. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Additional Skills & Qualifications Proficiency in PLC and electrical troubleshooting. Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures. Experience with industrial maintenance repair. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a dusty, industrial environment within a union shop that boasts a great company culture emphasizing safety and a close-knit, family feel. Employees will train on the first shift for a few weeks or months until ready to transition to the third shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.65 - $36.65/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
