Job Description
Timberland Forest Products is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician II with advanced electrical expertise to join our team in West Plains, MO. Reporting to plant maintenance leadership, this role is responsible for upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of production and mechanical equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of hands-on electrical skills and broad mechanical knowledge to support safe, efficient plant operations. Essential Duties Perform complex electrical maintenance operations including conduit installation, wire pulling and labeling, and work with industrial electrical control systems and PLC controls. Repair and maintain hydraulic systems, belt and screw conveyors, fiber grinding and saw equipment, packaging equipment, and plant air systems. Conduct precision mechanical work including drilling, cutting, tapping, pipe threading, and sheave and sprocket alignment. Execute preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machinery. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using diagrams, operations manuals, engineering specifications, and precision measuring instruments. Rebuild motors, gearboxes, and process machinery components as needed. Maintain a safe and orderly work environment in compliance with all applicable procedures, rules, and regulations. Operate forklifts and other lifting devices as required (current certification required). Other duties as assigned.
