Job Title:
Maintenance Technician Job Description This role focuses on performing preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyor systems and industrial machinery in a clean food production environment. The Maintenance Technician supports safe, efficient, and reliable operation of equipment by diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring all machinery runs at optimal performance. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on conveyor systems and industrial machinery to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Assist other workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment, providing technical guidance and support. Carry out electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair on a variety of production equipment. Dismantle, assemble, and install industrial machinery according to specifications and safety standards. Troubleshoot mechanical and control issues, including basic PLC-related troubleshooting, to identify root causes and implement effective solutions. Lubricate and grease industrial parts and components, such as bearings, to ensure proper operation and prevent premature wear. Document maintenance activities as required and communicate equipment status to supervisors and team members. Follow all safety procedures and food production standards while performing maintenance tasks on equipment and within the facility. Essential Skills 1-2 years of industrial maintenance experience and/or a degree in Industrial Maintenance. Strong mechanical experience with industrial machinery and conveyor systems. Proven ability to perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment. Experience with troubleshooting mechanical issues and basic PLC-related problems. Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, including maintenance and repair. Hands-on experience with pneumatic systems, including maintenance and repair. Ability to lubricate and grease industrial parts and components, such as bearings Additional Skills & Qualifications Education in Industrial Maintenance or a related technical field is preferred. Experience in a food or beverage production environment is beneficial. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams. Work involves regular interaction with industrial machinery, conveyor systems, and related equipment in a production setting, with an emphasis on cleanliness, safety, and adherence to established procedures. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clinton, MS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
