Full Job Description Job Summary:
Under general guidance and direction from the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician will primarily be responsible for performing needed maintenance to RSD's facilities in Billings, Red Lodge, Hardin, and Lewistown. The Technician will solicit bids from contractors for work that he/she cannot complete, as well as purchase and pick up replacement appliances, fixtures, etc. as requested by the Manager of each program and approved by the CEO, based on corporation purchase policies. I.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Will monitor facilities and vehicles continually to assess needed maintenance and repairs. B. Will complete maintenance, including clean-up, of Billing's facilities, as requested by Managers and CEO. Maintenance will include but not be limited to the following: 1. Re-caulking, patching, and painting walls 2. Gutter repair 3. Locks replaced 4. Tile/grout work 5. Replacing trim board 6. Repairing basic plumbing leaks 7. Completing basic appliance repairs 8. Repairing or replacing doors or windows 9. Patching sidewalks or driveways 10. Mending or gluing small tears in flooring 11. Painting 12. Pest Control 13. Changing lights and light fixtures 14. Lawn Care and snow removal not completed by contractors 15. Technology help 16. Will help ensure contract work is being completed at each location, such as: a. Lawn mowing/weeding/fertilizing b. Sprinkler systems c. Snow removal C. Will repair immediately all items, equipment, and facility areas that may pose a health and safety hazard to residents and staff, as reported by self or Managers or CEO. II.
Other Duties:
A. Attends all staff meetings as requested. B. Maintains confidentiality at all times. C. Carries out policies/procedures of agency D. Follows scheduled hours of work E. Reports any driving infractions that may affect insurability immediately. F. Keeps CEO and Managers informed about work schedule and activities, when requested G. Completes other maintenance related duties, as required by CEO. H. The ability to assess safety situations and use the right tools, be in good body position, and only work within the scope of the position and follow safety and protocol standards. Must demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve, have good time management, and organizational skills.
