A Building and General Maintenance Technician performs building maintenance and appliance repairs for an apartment complex, housing division, residential center or business, as directed by a property manager.
We are looking for a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to help keep our properties clean, well-maintained, safe, and ready for residents. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and is comfortable wearing a lot of different hats. The ideal candidate will have experience with cleaning and general property maintenance, along with the confidence to tackle basic repairs, painting, landscaping, and other day-to-day maintenance needs.
Responsibilities:
Complete move-out cleaning and prepare units for new occupants Conduct property inspections and inventories Perform light landscaping, including weeding, trimming, and general outdoor upkeep Complete interior painting and basic touch-up work Perform minor maintenance and repairs, such as replacing toilet seats, installing smoke alarms, and changing faucet aerators Identify maintenance issues and communicate needed repairs or concerns Help keep properties, common areas, and surrounding grounds clean, safe, and well-maintained Assist with occasional emergency maintenance needs outside of regular business hours Communicate clearly and consistently regarding work completed, maintenance concerns, and project status Perform other general property maintenance duties as needed
Requirements:
Previous experience in property maintenance, facilities, cleaning, painting, construction, or a related field Comfortable performing basic repairs and maintenance independently Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship Dependable, organized, and able to follow through on projects Good communication skills and ability to provide updates when needed Comfortable working independently and managing multiple types of tasks Able to work both indoors and outdoors Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
