Maintenance Tech - 2nd Shift available (ELECTROMECHANICAL WITH SOME PLC)

Overview We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing facility, supporting either first or second shifts. The ideal candidate will possess extensive foundry experience and demonstrate a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance. This role is vital to ensuring the continuous operation of our production processes, maintaining equipment reliability, and supporting safety standards. The Maintenance Tech will play a key role in troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance to uphold operational excellence. Duties Perform routine inspections and maintenance on foundry equipment, including furnaces, conveyors, and molding machines. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems using schematics, wiring diagrams, and testing tools such as ohmmeters. Conduct welding repairs and fabrications to support equipment upkeep or facility modifications. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to diagnose automation issues and implement necessary adjustments. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Assist with electrical installations, repairs, and troubleshooting to ensure compliance with safety standards. Support facilities maintenance tasks including plumbing, HVAC systems, and residential painting as needed. Lead or supervise maintenance projects and coordinate with team members to ensure timely completion. Follow safety protocols diligently to promote a safe working environment for all personnel. Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance. Experience Proven experience in foundry or manufacturing environments with a focus on facilities maintenance. Demonstrated proficiency in electrical systems, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting techniques. Hands-on welding skills combined with mechanical knowledge for repair tasks. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems. Experience using CMMS software for work order management and documentation. Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and electrical diagrams accurately. Supervisory or leadership experience in maintenance operations is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in English for effective teamwork and safety reporting. Knowledge of residential painting or general construction is a plus but not mandatory. Use of tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters for electrical diagnostics.
