Preventative Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

Responsible for performing and completing tasks outlined in preventive maintenance work orders. Knowledge | Experience |

Skills:

High School Diploma or GED required. Some maintenance, automation or set-up experience preferred. 1 year experience in Injection Molding preferred.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance tasks as outlined on the preventative maintenance work orders for all support equipment, presses, robots and facilities.
• Must do data entry of PM's on computer.
• Must have PM's completed on time and filled out properly.
• Help maintain a clean, safe and orderly work place; i.e. maintenance shop, storage area, pump room, production floor and warehouse.
• Other tasks and responsibilities will be assigned that are not covered in this job description however, when this situation arises you will be given full instructions on the procedure.
• Ability to use aerial lifts and fall protection.
• Work around high pressures and live voltages.
• Working around molten plastic and hot components, Use of oxygen and acetylene torch.
• Ability to climb and crawl on and under equipment.
• Use of hand tools and measuring devices.
• Use of Maximo, ability to setup query, look up and complete PM's, create work order for major repairs, write purchase requisitions -keeping proper stock of all supplies and reordering.
• Ability to learn controls and functions of equipment.
• Self-direction to prioritize and take advantage of the down equipment to perform task
• Must be able to read hydraulic/electrical prints and find part numbers, identify pm parts.
• Attend training classes, able to identify and dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
