Position Summary Join our dynamic team as a Window and Door Sales and Service Technician, where you will play a vital role in providing high-quality window and door solutions to our customers. This energetic position combines technical expertise with customer service excellence, ensuring each project is completed with precision and professionalism. The Window & Door Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and adjusting residential and light‑commercial windows and doors. The WDST is also responsible for recommending and quoting appropriate replacement products and solutions when repair is not the most effective option. This role ensures that customers receive high‑quality service after installation, supports warranty claims, and maintains strong relationships with builders, contractors, and homeowners. The technician represents the company on job sites and plays a key role in customer satisfaction, product performance, and business growth. Key Responsibilities
  • Identify opportunities for replacement windows, doors, and related products.
  • Prepare estimates and proposals for service-related product replacements.
Perform on‑site service work and sales for windows and exterior doors. Diagnose issues such as installation errors, product defects, hardware failures, air/water infiltration, and operational problems. Complete repairs and adjustments , including hardware replacement, sash/door alignment, weather stripping, caulking, and minor carpentry. Document all service visits , including findings, work performed, parts used, and follow‑up needs. Coordinate with vendors to process warranty claims, order replacement parts, and verify product specifications. Communicate professionally with builders, contractors, and homeowners to explain issues and solutions. Assist the sales and millwork teams with product knowledge, field measurements, and technical support when needed. Maintain company tools, vehicle, and equipment in clean, safe working condition. Follow all safety procedures and comply with OSHA and company standards. Qualifications Experience in window and door installation, service, carpentry, or millwork (preferred 2-5 years). Strong understanding of residential construction practices and building envelope principles. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, installation instructions, and technical documents . Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment. Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities. Strong communication and customer‑service skills. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. and work on ladders or in varying job‑site conditions.
