The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, preventative maintenance, and facility inspections while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards. This position requires the ability to be on call for occasional, maintenance emergencies. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, equipment, and grounds. Conduct preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and staff. Complete work orders accurately and in a timely manner. Inspect facility equipment and identify potential maintenance or safety issues. Maintain resident rooms, common areas, offices, and outdoor spaces in excellent condition. Conduct room turnovers, furniture assembly, painting, and minor renovations. Monitor and maintain fire safety equipment, emergency systems, and life-safety compliance requirements. Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors when necessary. Maintain maintenance logs, inspection records, and inventory of supplies and tools. Participate in emergency preparedness procedures and on-call rotation as required. Follow all OSHA, local, state, and company safety regulations. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in healthcare, assisted living, senior housing, hotels, or multifamily housing. Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment independently. Strong customer service skills and ability to interact respectfully with seniors, families, and staff. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond to emergencies. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred. Ability to pass background screening and drug testing, if required. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in various indoor and outdoor conditions. Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment. Preferred Qualifications HVAC certification or trade school training. Experience working in senior living, healthcare, or long-term care environments. Knowledge of life-safety systems and regulatory compliance requirements.
Pay:
Up to $20.00 per hour
