A Building and General Maintenance Technician performs building maintenance and appliance repairs for an apartment complex, housing division, residential center or business, as directed by a property manager.

Our goal is to provide exceptional guest experiences by maintaining clean, safe, and well-functioning homes. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team. Position Summary The Part-Time Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, preventative maintenance, and property inspections across our portfolio of vacation rental homes. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and able to troubleshoot a variety of maintenance issues while providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs including: Drywall repair and touch-up painting Basic plumbing repairs (faucets, toilets, drains) Basic electrical work (light fixtures, outlets, switches) Door, window, and lock repairs Appliance troubleshooting and minor repairs Furniture assembly and repairs HVAC filter changes and basic maintenance Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and property managers. Complete seasonal maintenance tasks for beach properties. Replace smoke detector batteries, light bulbs, and HVAC filters as needed. Coordinate with outside vendors when specialized repairs are required. Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory of tools and supplies. Ensure all properties meet company quality standards. Identify potential maintenance issues before they become costly repairs. Assist with emergency maintenance calls when available. Qualifications Previous experience in residential maintenance, handyman services, construction, or property maintenance preferred. General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair. Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues independently. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. A valid driver's license (company vehicle available). Ability to use a smartphone for work orders, photos, and communication. Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with vacation rentals or property management. HVAC, plumbing, or electrical certifications are a plus. Knowledge of pool or hot tub maintenance is a bonus. Schedule Flexible part-time schedule, weekends and holidays as needed. Additional hours available during busy summer months and hurricane season.
