A General Description of Duties:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on apartments, common areas, and building systems. Complete work orders promptly and with quality workmanship. Troubleshoot and repair electrical and natural gas stoves, plumbing and HVAC systems. Replace tile, sheetrock, and provide general repairs to countertops and cabinets Repair/Replace bathroom fixtures; replace pipes and other fittings when necessary. Unstop drains and commodes. Perform repairs on water heaters and maybe required to replace water heaters. Assist with unit turnovers, including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs. Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed. Follow HUD, Fair Housing, and safety guidelines. Interested candidates should have previous residential or apartment maintenance experience, working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC and appliance repair. This individual will be able to communicate effectively, work independently or with a team, and manage multiple tasks; must also be able to lift and perform physical duties and. Applicants must complete a background screening and must possess a NC Driver's License. DHA offers competitive pay based on experience and an excellent benefits package including health, dental, vision and short term disability.
