We currently havean Energy Center Technician position availableatour Vaccine Manufacturing Facility in Durham, NC.The Energy Center Technician will be responsible for energy center maintenance support and alarm monitoring.
The Technician will maintain all Energy Center equipment located throughout the entire site and take appropriate action to correct Plant Engineering maintenance problems.
The Technician will also be responsible for supporting departmental vision that provides for continuous improvement in all aspects of the operation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Operate and maintain all Energy Center Equipment, which includes but not limited to chillers, air compressors, boilers, waste water treatment, potable water, etc.
Knowledge of PM and PDM techniques Vibration Analysis and Ultrasonic detection.
Sets up, adjusts, repairs, and maintains Energy Center equipmentPerforms Preventative Maintenance on Energy Center equipment.
Prepares technical documentation (PMs, Correctives, & validation procedures) on as needed basisProvides technical specifications and information to Quality, Manufacturing, Process-Project Engineers, and other Manufacturing Division's requestorsMaintains Utility equipment by developing/performing PM's, installing new equipment, completing validation protocols, documenting work using a computerized maintenance management system (SAP) and other duties as requested by the Maintenance Coach.
Performs preventative maintenance inspections and prepares inspection reports concerning operation of equipment and mechanical condition of equipment.
Responsible for participating in new equipment installations by interfacing with equipment vendors and recommending spare parts, selecting lubrication processes and assisting process project engineers. Performing initial de-bug and redesign operations to make equipment operable.
Responsible for performing assignments in conformance with appropriate Regulatory (GMP's) and department Standard Operating Procedures which assure the quality of our products.
This is a rotating shift position,5 2 2 5 rotation, hours of work are 6:00 to 6:00 rotating from days to nights every 3 months.
The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent and Two (2) years energy center maintenance experience with a focus on energy center systems, troubleshooting & repair within a manufacturing environmentOR2-year technical degree and 2 years energy center maintenance experience with a focus on industrial utility systems management/troubleshooting & repair within a manufacturing environmentRequired:
Proficient in the use and knowledge of PCs (Hardware & Software), word processing, spreadsheet applications, and Microsoft Windows platformsMust be able to read electrical prints, P&ID's, and understand P&ID control loopsExtensive industrial electrical experience involving utility systems, with a strong knowledge of steam generation systems, air compressors, chillers, potable water systems, Building Automation Systems, waste water systems and HVAC systemsMust haveexperience documentingmaintenance and repair activitiesMust be able to function in a team-based empowered cultureMust possess the ability to work independently and effectively with peers, and display strong interpersonal and organizational skillThe ability to work overtime that includes weekend, holiday, evening and nightsPreferred:

An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
