Entry level - Maintenance Technician Super 8 High Point High Point, NC Job Details Part-time | Full-time $14 - $16 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Equipment repair Outdoor work experience Filing High school diploma or GED Dimensional measurements Driver's License Records management Measuring instruments Full Job Description Represent the hotel in a positive manner at all times Prioritize any repairs or maintenance issues that may impact or inconvenience our guests' experience Maintain hotel, pool, and surrounding area, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, HVAC functions, and other related maintenance activities, using hand tools. Repair and maintain facility buildings and equipment Complete any building and room repairs, plumbing, painting, sheetrock work, and carpentry Perform preventative maintenance on building and equipment Complete ground work and custodial work as necessary Ensure that all tools and equipment used are returned to and secured in proper storage area Assist in handling emergencies in order to protect our guests and associates, and preserve the building and its systems during the emergency Complete all work assigned in a safe and professional manner Maintain the hotel's emergency procedures as instructed by hotel management Notify management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment. Respond to guest requests for service according to company policy. Keep records of rooms completed. Program phone equipment according to hotel needs. Observe equipment and utility meter readings on a daily basis. Stay accessible to Front Desk and Chief Engineer. Maintain files of Material Safety Data Sheets. Ensure par stocking of regularly used parts and supplies. Learn emergency procedures. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace Previous maintenance experience is required Wear proper uniform and be well groomed Be flexible with work hours, as the hotel is a 24/7 operation This job requires ability to perform the following: carrying, lifting pushing and/or pulling items weighing up to 100 pounds, frequently standing up and moving about the facility, frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility, frequently bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing and crawling Understand and use specifications, work to precise measurements Use arithmetic to measure, compute amount of materials to use, and to inspect product to be sure it conforms to requirements. Work outdoors in all kinds of weather Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays Valid Driver's License required High school or equivalent education required
