A Building and General Maintenance Technician performs building maintenance and appliance repairs for an apartment complex, housing division, residential center or business, as directed by a property manager.
Job description: Immediate for Facilities Maintenance/Grounds Keeper at our National Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM dealership located in Jacksonville, NC. Facilities Maintenance/Grounds Keeper responsible for daily repairs, upkeep, and general maintenance of the various facilities under their domain. Duties Include but not limited to: Performing general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include, BUT
NOT LIMITED TO
repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures. Travel from site to site; inspect facilities, buildings and grounds for routine maintenance; prioritize repairs and renovations Requisition building maintenance supplies, material, and equipment: monitor inventory; load and unload supplies. Vegetation Mitigation to ensure a clean fresh look on the grounds at all times Preventative Maintenance to ensure the longevity of facilities, buildings, equipment, and grounds. Run errands as needed Perform related duties as required
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED; One year of relevant work experience (Preferred but not Required.) Any combination of training, education, and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Knowledge of:
Methods and techniques used in the operation, repair, and maintenance of facilities and equipment. Operational characteristics of a variety of tools and equipment. Occupational hazards and standard safety practices. Principles and practices for providing high level of customer service. Modern office practices, methods, and computer equipment and applications.
Ability to:
Perform semi-skilled facility maintenance. Safely and effectively use, operate, and maintain equipment and tools. Perform heavy manual labor. Independently organize work, set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow up on assignments. Demonstrate strong customer service skills and establish, maintain, and foster positive and effective working relationships. Maintain records and files on work performed. Use English effectively to communicate in person, over the telephone, and in writing. Valid Drivers License Required.
