Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Garage Door Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in garage door installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires hands-on work with various tools and equipment, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. A commitment to safety and customer satisfaction is essential. Duties Install, repair, and maintain garage doors and related components. Perform fixture installation and heavy lifting as required. Read and interpret schematics to ensure proper installation and repairs. Conduct glass installation for garage door windows when necessary. Engage in metal stud framing for structural support as needed. Build and hang doors according to specifications. Utilize power tools safely and effectively in all aspects of work. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding services performed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Qualifications Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in the field. Proficiency in fixture installation, heavy lifting, and working with power tools. Familiarity with schematics related to garage door systems. Experience in glass installation is a plus. Knowledge of metal stud framing techniques is desirable. Ability to build, hang doors, and perform locksmithing tasks when required. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. A valid driver's license with excellent driving record is required for travel in company truck to job sites.
