Job Description

TekPro is representing an established manufacturing company in the Kings Mountain, NC area that is looking to add an experienced Maintenance Technician to its team. This is a 1st shift, direct-hire opportunity for a well-rounded technician with a combination of mechanical, electrical, and fabrication experience. The position will focus on keeping production equipment running reliably through troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment improvements. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues on manufacturing and production equipment Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime Repair and replace motors, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, belts, chains, and other mechanical components Troubleshoot electrical systems, motors, sensors, switches, and controls Perform welding and fabrication for equipment repairs, modifications, brackets, guards, and other plant needs Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications Respond to equipment breakdowns and identify the cause of recurring failures Read equipment manuals, schematics, and mechanical drawings Maintain a safe and organized work environment Preferred Background Industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities Industrial electrical troubleshooting experience Welding and fabrication skills Experience with motors, pumps, bearings, gearboxes, pneumatics, and hydraulics Ability to independently diagnose and repair production equipment PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus Experience in plastics, chemical, compounding, process manufacturing, or a similar production environment is a plus Schedule & Compensation 1st
Shift:
7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Up to $35/hour, based on experience Full-time, direct-hire opportunity Stable manufacturing environment
