54 Hourly Location Belews Lake Park, NC Job Type Part-time With Benefits Job Number 09030 Department Parks and Recreation Opening Date 08/13/2026 Closing Date 8/23/2026 11:59 PM Eastern Description Benefits Questions General Statement of Duties Forsyth County Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a person for a part-time position as a Maintenance Technician for Belews Lake Park. Duties include cleaning restrooms, mulching, cleaning the shelter, working with the public and performing various projects using a variety of equipment including tractors, blowers and various handheld power tools.

  • Work schedule subject to change as needed Uniforms are provided.

Distinguishing Features All applicants should have the following knowledge, skill and abilities: Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees. Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with the public. Ability to independently adhere to a time schedule. Ability to maintain order and ensure compliance with rules. Ability to operate and care for power equipment and hand tools. Ability to inspect and report needs for repairs. Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds. Minimum Education and Experience Graduation from high school or GED and one year experience in basic building or grounds maintenance work. A valid driver's license is required. Must have demonstrated ability to safely operate small to medium motorized equipment.
