Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and equipment across our facility. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment by performing routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and executing repairs on a variety of equipment. A strong focus on customer service, safety protocols, and technical excellence will drive your daily activities. Duties Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, refrigeration units, manufacturing equipment, and mechanical systems to ensure continuous operation. Troubleshoot and repair machinery, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems using schematics and technical manuals. Install new machinery and mechanical equipment following safety standards and manufacturer guidelines. Conduct routine inspections of mechanical systems and identify potential issues before they escalate. Operate company vehicles safely to transport tools, parts, or equipment as needed for maintenance tasks. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used in compliance with operational procedures. Collaborate with team members to execute construction projects or upgrades that improve facility infrastructure. Respond promptly to emergency repairs or system failures to minimize downtime and ensure safety. Utilize technical knowledge of HVAC & appliance technology to optimize system performance and energy efficiency. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with team members and internal clients regarding maintenance status or issues. Experience Proven experience as a Service Technician or Maintenance Technician with a strong background in appliance repair, HVAC system repair, refrigeration, and mechanical systems repair. Demonstrated ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints effectively for troubleshooting purposes. Hands-on experience with HVAC & appliance technology including installation, repair, and maintenance of kitchen equipment and other appliances. Knowledge of maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) practices within industrial or commercial environments. Construction experience is a plus for executing upgrades or facility improvements. Familiarity with company vehicle operation and safety protocols is required. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with leadership skills to guide junior team members when necessary. Excellent problem-solving skills with an energetic approach to tackling maintenance challenges efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
