Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep of our grounds, buildings, and equipment. This role requires hands-on expertise in mechanical systems including diesel, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic equipment. The ideal candidate will also have experience in metal fabrication and welding to assist with repairs and custom projects. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, facilities, and grounds. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Maintain and service diesel-powered equipment and machinery. Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life. Inspect equipment and facilities to identify issues and ensure safe operation. Assist with grounds maintenance, including landscaping equipment upkeep. Perform troubleshooting and repairs on a variety of tools and equipment. Fabricate, modify, and repair metal components as needed (cutting, welding, shaping). Maintain maintenance records, logs, and work orders. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies. Respond quickly to emergency maintenance needs. Qualifications Proven experience in general maintenance for facilities and grounds. Strong working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams. Experience with welding and metal fabrication preferred. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Basic computer skills for recordkeeping and reporting. High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred). Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus if applicable). Skills & Competencies Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Mechanical aptitude with attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Good communication and teamwork skills.
