Job Description

Position:
Maintenance Technician RK Properties is looking to hire an experienced Maintenance Technician for Pointe at Research Park , under the direction of Maintenance Supervisor, maintains and repairs the maintenance items within the community. As a member of the maintenance team, you will play a vital role in the success of the property.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Complete service requests in a timely, professional, and courteous manner Perform general maintenance repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, drywall, painting, and flooring. Display extensive knowledge of property systems and possess the ability to identify issues and determine and completing all repairs that are needed by troubleshooting maintenance related items such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC and all other systems repair. Ensuring proper methods and procedures are followed to maintain, repair and service community. Rotating oncall schedule monthly Inspect projects to ensure conformity to specifications, direct safety inspections and preventative maintenance. Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor completing quarterly preventive maintenance for all units and assisting with making sure annual property systems inspections are complete. Assist with maintaining pools, fitness centers, clubhouses, and other community amenities. Communicate professionally with residents and team members while providing outstanding customer service. Maintain pool logs and OSHA logs. Also ensure all emergency eye wash stations and first aid kits are stocked and accessible in an emergency. Always maintain a safe work environment by adhere to all regulations on using equipment's, inspect your work area for hazards before starting any task. Responsible for troubleshooting all maintenance related items. Ensures all maintenance task and repair work is complete correctly and in a timely manner. Maintain detailed records for equipment repair/replacement histories for major items like appliances, HVAC units, pool equipment and Tools. All other duties assigned and/or directed by supervisor(s).
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Minimum of 1-2 years of apartment maintenance or related maintenance experience preferred. Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, appliance repair, and painting. EPA Universal Certification and CPO preferred or ability to obtain within a designated timeframe. HVAC certification is a plus. Ability to diagnose maintenance issues and complete repairs independently. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer or mobile device skills for completing electronic work orders. Commitment to providing excellent resident service. Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and workplace safety practices.
