The Maintenance Technician conducts machine set-up, troubleshoot problems, repairs and provides preventive maintenance service to maintain production and quality and reduces equipment downtime using the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

YOUR TASKS Equipment Operational Effectiveness o Respond to equipment problems, evaluate specific nature of trouble through effective troubleshooting, determine causes of trouble, determines necessary repair, and execute/expedite repair and recovery from equipment trouble. o Communicate specific nature of equipment repair and recovery, along with causes, to appropriate management and operations personnel. o Document data associated with specific trouble using appropriate maintenance management systems.

• Equipment Performance and Reliability Improvements o Analyze data associated with equipment trouble, determines and confirms specific root cause of equipment trouble develops and implements countermeasures.

o Where appropriate, develop, design, and implement kaizen improvements to improve equipment performance and reliability. o Conduct routine inspection of equipment for early diagnosis of machine trouble.

• Collateral Duties o Perform collateral duties as assigned primarily dealing with executing maintenance management systems and the effective operation of the overall plant including parts identification and procurement, miscellaneous administrative tasks associated with the overall maintenance management system, participation in safety initiatives, etc.
• Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required
• Completes cross-training on different machines in the area as required by supervision
• Trains other teammates as required by supervision
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition in accordance with 5S protocol and follows prescribed standard procedures and safety regulations
• Reports to work regularly and punctually as working schedule required
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervision

YOUR SKILLS High School Diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 2 year technical degree (associate of science) in electronics, robotics, general technology or related technical field preferred Minimum of at least 3+ years of experience in a multi-craft maintenance industrial manufacturing role or within a military technical / maintenance job field Broad maintenance knowledge in mechanical, electrial, hydraulics and pneumatics Able to read and interpret gages and complicated engineering documents and drawings Able to learn and understand technical aspects of complex equipment technologies Able to continuously learn and build skills Able to work independently and as part of a team toward organizational goals Able to identify complex problems and review related information to evaluate options and implement solutions Above average oral and written communication and organization skills
