Job Description

division is currently seeking a 3rd shift Maintenance Technician in Roxboro, NC. The pay rate for this position is $29.10 + .50 shift differential per hour. Non-routine duties may include:
Sorting/inspection of suspect material, processing rework, assisting other product lines, and other duties, as assigned by Supervisor or Group Leader. ##Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
- Minimum 1 year of machining and/or assembly experience
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of PLC experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechatronics preferred
- Certificates in Electrical work
- Classes taken for Industrial PLCs
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in mechanical maintenance industry OR Associates degree with a technical focus and three (3) years of related experience in general industry
- Experience with heat treat/ grinding operations
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs
- Preferred experience with CAD specifically Auto CAD
- Able to fabricate replacement parts
- Preferred experience with trouble shooting
- Preferred experience working with microns on equipment setup ##
Responsibilities:
- Basic understanding of LOTO, completing training and testing with a passing grade. Completing hands on test/pass.
- Confers with operations to observe, inspect machinery determining root causes of malfunction while performing diagnostic checks. Remove, replace, or repair worn or defective parts, align components, safely returning equipment to operational status in minimum time required.
- Basic understanding of the Roxboro Maintenance Work Order System. Understanding the layout and functionality of the system. Accurately close out completed work orders.
- Basic Mechanical. Ability to identify key mechanical components and understands how to diagnose and address issues associated mechanical wear on machine tooling, bushings/bearings, pumps, motors, seals, and other mechanical parts for efficient and safe operations. Understands alignments and how to adjust misalignments appropriately.
- Basic Electrical. Ability to identify major electrical components, read and interpreted basic test equipment, and understands how to properly release electrical energy (LOTO procedures).
- Basic Hydraulics. Understanding of hydraulic theory, demonstrate understanding of how to release and isolate of stored energy.
- Basic Pneumatics. Pneumatic theory, able to identify major components, and able to demonstrate how to dissipate and isolate of stored energy.
- Test-run repaired machinery and equipment to verify adequacy of repairs.
- Open an EHS event report (i.e. Spill, property damage, unsafe behavior)
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs
