Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled part-time handyman with bathroom remodeling experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of home renovations and installations, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general bathroom remodeling and bathroom fixture installation (e.g., grab bars, ADA toilets, fixtures, wheelchair ramps, railings, basic carpentry, minor plumbing, etc.) Complete safety modifications to improve accessibility and prevent falls Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner Maintain a clean and safe work environment Provide excellent customer service, ensuring residents and families feel comfortable and informed Follow company and project standards to ensure consistent quality
Requirements:
Proven experience as a handyman, residential construction worker or in a similar role Strong knowledge of basic renovations, tools, and safety practices Must have own set of tools, a reliable working truck and valid drivers license Willing to travel to nearby, rural, underserved counties Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work with hand and power tools Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Must pass a Level 2 background check prior to employment Must have active, independent General Liability insurance Professional, courteous, and trustworthy
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with seniors or in healthcare-related environments a plus Knowledge of ADA and accessibility modifications
