Job Description

Piper Companies is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Day Shift) to join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organization for a 6 month, onsite, contract-to-hire position based in Wilson, NC . The Maintenance Technician (Day Shift) will support day-to-day equipment reliability and maintenance activities across manufacturing operations while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards in a regulated production environment. Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician (Day Shift) include:
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility process systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and process equipment issues impacting production.
  • Assist with equipment startups, shutdowns, upgrades, and maintenance projects.
  • Maintain compliance with GMP requirements, safety regulations, and maintenance procedures.
  • Complete accurate maintenance records, inspections, and work orders in a timely manner. Qualifications for the Maintenance Technician (Day Shift) include:
  • Experience supporting maintenance activities within pharmaceutical, biotech, food production, or other regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Working knowledge of motors, pumps, tanks, process equipment, and industrial systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues independently.
  • Understanding of Lockout/Tagout procedures and safe maintenance practices.
  • Technical degree, industrial maintenance certification, BioWork certification, or equivalent education preferred.
Compensation for the Maintenance Technician (Day Shift):
Salary Range:
$26-$36/hr
